Inba Naidoo

Comrade Inba Naidoo was an ardent student activist in the 70s. He fought fiercely against any form of division and inequality. In the 1990s he was elected the ANC councillor for Newlands West when he secured the library and swimming pool. His passion was the advancement of local communities and he embraced the challenges in education, sports and food security. He developed many ANC branches and motivated the youth to develop the ANC Youth League branches. He organized the Phoenix Working. While at New West Secondary School he introduced the Environmental Quiz and Primary School Maths Challenge. He worked on the gardens at New West Secondary School harvesting Marigold flowers, vegetables and greening the school. He secured funding from the Sibaya Community Trust to sink a borehole to provide water to the school’s organic garden.
