Phumla Mgwebeni

At the time of her death, Comrade Phumla Mgwebeni was serving as the Deputy Secretary of Gugulethu Branch. She was a teacher at Lwazi Primary School in Gugulethu where she also served as SADTU Site Steward. Comrade Phumla was a dedicated SADTU member and leader. Her aim was always to serve the members of the school and her community. She attended SADTU activities and was willing to be empowered and empower others. She was a disciplined cadre of the movement who showed respect and empathy.
